Do I need good credit to qualify?
Credit history is only one of the criteria used to evaluate each loan request. While credit history is important, we will do everything we can to say, "Yes!" to your request.

Who is eligible for a National Guard Loan?
We accept, process and consider loan applications from active-duty and 20-year career-retired service members, as well as Department of Defense employees.

Can I apply from overseas?
Yes.  All active duty National Guard members qualify, no matter where they are currently stationed.  You will need a Home of Record address, which is normally the address that you used when you enlisted.

How will my National Guard loan interest rate be calculated?
Interest rates vary from customer to customer. We consider several factors when determining your interest rate, including your credit history (based on a consumer credit report), your military rank, your years of service, and your debt-to-income ratio. We do not determine an interest rate until you apply online so we can look at your entire credit profile.

Will you need my banking info?
Your bank information is one of the final requirements necessary to complete the closing process, and is needed so that we can deposit the loan proceeds.
